This happened about 9 months ago for my wife and I, BUT we were lucky enough to have Melinda to guide us in the right direction! My husband and I are newly married (less then 5 years) and already in credit counseling because of credit card debt. We live paycheck to paycheck and I would sit and cry for hours over bills because there was not any money to pay them. Then we found Melinda at the end of May and started her program/budgeting in June 2018. We already have $840 extra at the end of June. We have not had extra money in idk how long.

It is very scary to sit down and look at each and every cent that is taken out of your account. BUT you really see where it all goes and all the useless things you spend money on. PLUS you can see how to save money in areas and that is so much fun! My husband and I now play a game and try to see who can come up with ideas to make extra money or save money on things we already have to pay for. It is definitely paying off and it is brining us closer together. Thankfully he was already on board the moment I mentioned talking to Melinda to him.
